  • Wow, this is seriously awesome!!!
Thank you so much for your votes everyone, I really appreciate it. I was in the car with my dad when I found out, and we both just started laughing so hard... But we're not telling my mom, because I want to see the look on her face when a shiny new Strat arrives in the mail...hehe.

Dan, you are seriously THE MAN for doing stuff like this. I'll send in a pic as soon as I get the guitar, and then I'll probably work on putting together a video later.

    Thanks so much once again!!

And Tina, thanks for the congratulations. How awesome (and highly unlikely) would it be if one day down the road, the three of us winners got together and had a strat jam session...heh...we could invite Dan too...

  • May I offer my warmest congratulations to both Strat winners, your entries were excellent and thoroughly deserving. I was thrilled just to get shortlisted, and all those people who voted for me, wow, that was astonishing, what a confidence boost! You're all awesome, but especially thanks to Dan for investing his own hard-earned in those prizes in the first place; this just underlines your commitment to your students and demonstrates how far ahead of the pack you really are. Looking forward to my new course arriving; so, 'til next time, cheers everybody, and NEVER give up!

  • Hi fellow Amazing Guitarists!

I sit here at my 'puter amazed and humbled. First and foremost, I'd like to thank God for Dan and his work. His instruction has changed my life in more ways than I ever imagined when I first bought the AGS course. I'm on the road to being an amazing guitarist and it feels very good to be able to type it. Ben, I too received a phone call friday afternoon from Kristen. I thought it was a joke at first but as the conversation went on, I could feel the blessing being poured upon me as I was driving home from my sister's house. (She sold her home and I was lucky again, to be invited to help her pack!!! ; ) )

I drove in the driveway honking my horn all the way. My wife and daughter come running out wondering what's up and I have this grin from ear to ear. I tell'em what just transpired and my daughter says, "Come on dad, you know you want to jump up and down and act goofy, just do it!" Well, I did and then we all did together! Yes, I am very happy to win a Fender Strat, but what struck me moreso was the fact that so many people took time to write, vote and give of themselves to help someone they don't know personally. For that, I am humbled and want each of you to know that you have contributed to the happiness of a guy in Stafford, Tx. and I hope to someday to be able to pay it forward. Ben, congratulations to you for a great job on your video and on your new Strat!!! I agree, it would be great to jam with you and Tina one day soon. I'll send in a pic and a video of the new guitar and I soon so till then may God bless each of you and may He continue to bless Dan, his family, his staff and his work.

    Peace,

    Mark Lee

  • I was happy to come in 4th, and like I told my friends, I probably need another guitar much less than the actual winner of the essay contest. Congrats!
