Fender Strat Giveaway: Update

Folks,

I'm REALLY sorry it's taking me sooooooooo long to get this Strat out my door! I wanted to award the winner nearly 8 weeks ago. But I had NO idea there would be as many contest entries are there were. It took a LONG time to read all those!

Anyway, we've finally choosen 4 finalists.

And I want YOU to vote for your favorite.

To vote simply visit this website:

I'll let the voting run for a couple of weeks and I'll ship to Strat to the winner the first week of August (I promise!) Then, hopefully we can get the winner to send us some pictures.

Have a great weekend...

Cheers!

Dan Denley

  • I just voted for the longest post :P, and didn't bother reading 'em all

  • They all already have guitars...and I don't...want me to be sure to buy your course...should have gave me a guitar! I voted for the chick who had to wait for a guitar too! And her story was not all self righteous B.S.. The others don't need a free guitar! They have several already!

  • why why why why why why why why why?
every one of them can play already, all have them have been playing for ages, (except the girl), none of them need a new guitar. I think its very selfish that any of them entered really in the firsd place. Im not choosing any of them. So there :P

  • Who lives by the music does'nt need much words. This selected group is babbeling your ears off! Next contest please say you vote for the briefest. I liked all the brief ones much more than those four!

  • Like someone already said...I don't like any of them..they all have guitars and most of them already know how to play. They just want to improve their skills while others want to learn the guitar...I don't think any of them should win. I am 16 and want to learn the guitar with all my heart and I don't even own a guitar to start practicing on...all of the others do...I don't think it is a fair decision to be honest.

  • What contest ??????

  • Give us all a Fender Strat. YOU can afford it!

By Anonymous, at July 15, 2006

  • I'm 61 years old so I remember most of the old songs when they were new, my mother bought a 64 strat and Fender Delux amp for my CHRISTMAS present and I never looked back. I fell on hard times
in the mid 80's and sold my strat to Gruens in Nashville TN with the original case for 425. Later tried to get some info on the strat but they said they were not authorized to give out that info, so a pre-CBS strat is a hard find. My wife and I played the road for some time in the 70's. So without Miracle don't expect to see the "L"
series Strat again but if some one
out there has one with a fretboard fill in below the 12th fret where the "B" string would be then its a good chance you could have my old Strat Would like to see it one more time even if it's on a Monitor
    Thanks, Woody Johnson

  • I need a guitar too...i've only a broken acoustic...so i voted for te girl who wanted to die with more than 3 songs on her fingers and as a guitar goddess...may her dreams( and one day mine) come true...

  • Hmmm... all four potential winners seem te be Americans...??

Non-americans stand less of chance due to bad english or something like that?

Well, anyways, I don't know who should win. One is already a professional player, another is a woman who just needs to practice more... When you only know 3 songs, it just shows you don't spend enough time in your practice.

So I don't know who to choose, sorry!

  • Carlo, Tina said:
"Playing those two songs for those two whole years almost caused a divorce! Ha Ha...not really!"

"Then I discovered David at guitarnoise.com and was I thrilled! There's not a day that goes by now that I don't drive my husband and kids crazy with new songs and lots of practice."

    Make a vote.
